Computer Health :: Argumentative Persuasive Essays
Computer HealthAre computers really that healthy to families? Is technology healthy, period? Do computers and the Internet actually help workforce and women, moms and dads, children and teens, friends and relatives, young and old? Does it help finish work and give you more judgment of conviction, or has it destroyed your life? Computers are beneficial, but I think but in small doses. The Internet crumb be fun but it is also a nightmarish side to it, just corresponding everything else in the introduction. You can find tons of stories on someones identity being stolen or teens meeting there on line friend horror stories and sedate no one listens. It can and will, if you dont watch it, happen to you. Yet computers do help us connect to the ones we love when we arent near. And thats always a good thing.Lets look at computers in a business sense. Computers rescue replaced typewriters, calculators, and filing cabinets. Email has replaced phone core slips and inboxes. And because t he computers are linked together through LAN workers can share work, files, and resources. So work is done ahead of schedule and all you can go the weekend to yourself, right? Wrong Computers have just given you more work and a way for it to go home with you. In my view computers have just introduced more stress to our lives. Companies expected employees to do get things done in shorter periods of time and still out beat the competition, by produce larger and better things.While work keeps moms and dads slaving to piles of work, kids are left to there own devices. The Internet is a great tool for research. It helps us explore the world but then again so will the Discovery channel, Travel channel and several other channels. When children arent supervised is when you can only lodge yourself. There are tons of dangers on the Internet. The biggest threat to children is porn sites. I distaste that search engines dont filter out filth like pornography. Its annoying having it in your search results and its scary all at the same time. Perverted people violate such innocent topics. But who has the time to watch their kids search for information on their science fair project or while theyre playing games. Remember theyre to busy working on that proposal their boss wants or grading papers. Parents could install filters on computers but the problem is that the kids are a lot more

Mozart :: essays research papers
A short time before the death of Mozart, a rummy of remarkable appearance, and dressed in deep mourning, called at his house, and requested him to prepare a threnody, in his best style, for the funeral of a distinguished person. The sensitive imagination of the composer right off seized upon the circumstance as an omen of his own fate and the nervous anxiety with which he labored to fulfill the task, had the effect of realizing his impression. He died within a some days of completing this magnificent piece of music, which was performed at his interment.Mozarts unfinished Requiem has long been shrouded in mystery. Mozart undertook the commission for an Austrian nobleman, little knowing that he was to economise a requiem for himself. Inevitably, the secrecy surrounding the anonymous commission, the circumstances of Mozarts death, the unfinished farming of the work, and its completion under the direction of Mozarts widow, Constanze, have precipitated two centuries of romantic sh ot and scholarly controversy. One book that further explores the history and an analytical study on the Requiem is Christoph Wolffs Mozarts Requiem. Christoph Wolff provides a critical introduction to the Requiem in its many facets. Mozarts Requiem has been a topic discussed for centuries and in Wolffs book that topic is meticulously broken down. Wolff breaks the book down in two parts. Part I of his study focuses on the tangled genesis and completion of the work and its fascinating early reception history until Constanzes death. Wolff summarizes the current state of research on the subject, provides new perspectives on Mozarts conception of the whole work, and surveys his contributions to the movements composed by his assistant, Sssmayr. Part II provides a musical analysis of Mozarts composition, including contextual, structural, and interpretive aspects.
